This summer SOI 21 is working on a series of exciting evangelistic projects. Joshua and I are designing banners, tracts, and a website to present the Gospel to “Millennial” students on college campuses. We plan to display the banners at the Prayer Table and at special outreach events as an arresting visual presentation. We believe they will generate meaningful conversations. To complement the banners, we are designing a tract to distribute as well. Finally, we’d like to create an evangelistic website, since college students are continually online throughout the day. Throughout the world, millions of people are coming to Christ through the Internet. We’re aware of one site that has been visited by people from more than 190 countries. Even more importantly, one in eight of those visitors have made a decision to trust Christ as their Savior – most of them on their very first visit to the site.
I believe the potential for evangelistic success among the Millennials is even greater because the Internet is such a large part of their lives. This is where they look for news, information, and even relationship. The key, we believe, is to design a site that gets their attention and grabs their hearts. Stay tuned for more details this summer!
